ON PRIDE WEEK

This year, the GSA has organised Pride Week for 2019-2020 from November 18th to 22nd. KGV Pride Week has now been established as an annual event. This year, we will be selling wooden pins with ribbons so you can help display your support for our cause! There will also be screenings with LGBT+ movies in the GLT, a photobooth in the quads, two guest speakers and a large pride flag that YOU can leave your mark on!

Monday
Tuesday
Visit by Conor Fung to discuss being Transgender in Hong Kong and how to deal with the news, he will be hosting sessions during lesson times for LPS classes.
Lunchtime writing workshops in IS209.
Wednesday
Visit by Linus Chan, the head of PrideLab to discuss how he and his friends created Pridelab and the expanding LGBT+ scene in Hong Kong along with ways you can help.These will also be during LPS lessons
Thursday
Showing of a "Dear Ex", a LGBT+ film in the GLT
Friday
Winners announced and prizes giving for the film and art competitions. (These will be coupons for Starbucks and a plaque). We will also be hosting LGBT+ films in the GLT for all to view

Art and film competition requirements

Please use LGBT+ instead of LGBTQ+ or any other acronyms, this is to avoid the negative stigma associated with the use of "Queer" and to keep to the "traditional" 4 groups recognised as part of the acronym. We use the + to symbolise our inclusiveness of outside groups.
Please do not include any foul language or homophobic terms
Submissions must include an LBTQ+ theme, including a pride flag in the poster itself
Physical or digital art is accepted
